Animal habitats are excellent for young kids to gain some prior knowledge. The 6th grade curriculum addresses ecology and habitats and how they are all connected. It would be great to use these sources and really dig into the habitat topic at the primary level.
ReplyDeleteCrystal, I love this text set! Kids love learning about habitats! I remember making a desert habitat with my Kindergarten class and you would not believe how many kids that had never seen a cactus before!Great way to get some informational writing while learning new vocabulary that will help them when they get in 6th grade, as Kristen mentioned above. I will definitely steal some of this. :-) As always, wonderful job!
